Dish: Frozen block o' Salmon and Rice
Prep time: However long it takes your oven to preheat and your water to boil
Cook time: 20 minutes
Difficulty level: Easy
Believe it or not, these frozen blocks of fish come in handy. Tonight, I popped the above salmon in the oven for about 15 minutes. Once it was done, I dashed a little Worcestershire sauce on top and placed it back in the oven. I'm notorious for only using Minute Rice so naturally, I whipped that up pretty quick... five minutes to be exact.
Once the rice was done, I took the salmon out of the oven and shredded it and then placed it on top of my rice. Added a little extra Worcestershire sauce and BAM... dinner was served.
I really like Worcestershire sauce so I add it to a lot of my meats. If you aren't as keen, you can naturally leave it off; the salmon tastes fine without it. I loathe brown rice, but if you're trying to stay on the healthy route, always substitute the white for the brown.
I also recommend the Gorton's tilapia -- it's to die for.
